No one has seen or heard from former X Factor star Katie Waissel in months, but the singer has hit the headlines again but this time it's not for her crazy antics... well, not really.
Katie announced today that she is engaged to male model Brad Alphonso, who is best known for starring in Madonna's Girl Gone Wild video.
Taking to her Twitter Katie (26) wrote: 'Just woken up with a huge smile on my face can't believe that we are engaged!! @Brad_Alphonso.'
Katie, who has been working on new music out in Los Angeles, later added: 'Making great music out here, got engaged to the man I'm going to spend the rest of my life with,and have all you to share it with!so happy!'

Brad also shared the happy news with his friends, writing: 'Holy s**t!!!!! It's for real !!! Love it!!!!'
The engagement is a surprise to most people as Katie previously dated Capital FM DJ Burns, and they were spotted together only two months ago.
