I was so excited when my Sleeper Rollers arrived this week. Everyone will know them from the hit series Desperate Scousewives, but I wanted to try them out for myself.
Anyone who reads this blog will know that I'm obsessed with my hair and getting lots of volume into it. But using hairspray and GHD's and curlers can really damage your hair long term, something I have learned the hard way, so this seemed like the perfect fix!
Me in my rollers |
So here's how you do it. 1. Brush through your hair and put it into different sections. 2. Get a piece of hair and bring the roller through to the end. 3. Then roll your hair clockwise towards your head. 4. Roll it tight to your scalp and for extra security use a bobby pin to keep the roller nice and tight. 5. Sleep tight and don't let the bed bugs bite!
Tadaa!! I woke up to volumized, bouncy hair |
You can add some hair spray when you put the rollers in at night or when you take them out the next day. But I'm trying to give my hair a break at the moment so I didn't use any hair spray and my hair stayed bouncy and volumized all day.
One thing I did as well is I plaited some pieces of my hair and rolled them. When I took out the rollers they were slightly crimped as well as bouncy, which looked really cool, and I like having a bit of a kink in my hair.
And I'm not the only fans of the rollers. All the TOWIE girls have been using them. Lauren Goodger was recently seen in her salon in Essex leaving the rollers in during the day.
And that's the cool thing you don't just have to sleep in them. You can wear them around the house and if you're in a rush you can actually buy a special heat hood from the Sleeper Rollers website, which attaches to your hair dryer.
All of my hair was curly and bouncy! |
