Beauty Diary: Sleeper Rollers

I was so excited when my Sleeper Rollers arrived this week. Everyone will know them from the hit series Desperate Scousewives, but I wanted to try them out for myself.

Anyone who reads this blog will know that I'm obsessed with my hair and getting lots of volume into it. But using hairspray and GHD's and curlers can really damage your hair long term, something I have learned the hard way, so this seemed like the perfect fix!

Me in my rollers
Unlike usual rollers, these rollers (which are bright pink - so cute) are designed so that you can sleep with them on your head. That sounds insane right? But I slept with them in last night and I slept soundly, it wasn't the slightest bit uncomfortable, and the results are amazing!!

So here's how you do it. 1. Brush through your hair and put it into different sections. 2. Get a piece of hair and bring the roller through to the end.  3. Then roll your hair clockwise towards your head. 4. Roll it tight to your scalp and for extra security use a bobby pin to keep the roller nice and tight. 5. Sleep tight and don't let the bed bugs bite!

Tadaa!! I woke up to volumized, bouncy hair
And the results are fabulous. It's so easy to take out the roller the next morning, you literally just have to slide them out. As you take out each roller brush through the piece of hair and let it fall naturally.

You can add some hair spray when you put the rollers in at night or when you take them out the next day. But I'm trying to give my hair a break at the moment so I didn't use any hair spray and my hair stayed bouncy and volumized all day.

One thing I did as well is I plaited some pieces of my hair and rolled them. When I took out the rollers they were slightly crimped as well as bouncy, which looked really cool, and I like having a bit of a kink in my hair.

And I'm not the only fans of the rollers. All the TOWIE girls have been using them. Lauren Goodger was recently seen in her salon in Essex leaving the rollers in during the day.

And that's the cool thing you don't just have to sleep in them. You can wear them around the house and if you're in a rush you can actually buy a special heat hood from the Sleeper Rollers website, which attaches to your hair dryer.

All of my hair was curly and bouncy!
So if you are low on time you can create the look in under an hour. The best time to use the rollers is when your hair is newly dried, it will make the flicks and curls last much longer. If your hair is damp it may not style as well.

You can get this sexy, glamorous look so easy too! To order your own Sleep In Rollers go to their website: Sleep In Rollers.
