Katie Waissel has claimed that the only reason the public hated her throughout her stint on The X-Factor is because they were "told to" by the press.
When asked why she got such a tough time from the public Katy said:
"I don't know. At the end of the day, it's a TV show - it's entertainment. The public hated me because they were told to.The power of editing is beautiful. During the live shows I wanted to jump up and tell people, ‘Hi, I'm Katie - I'm not a bastard', but people had already made up their minds."But although the press may have wrote some hate against the singer, the media didn't lie when revealing that her granmother was an escort. Katie admits that made things worse:
"Oh my God, it was such a shock! I mean, come on, it doesn't get much worse than that! You couldn't even write that!"I think she loves every second of the press she gets,
