The pair, who got engaged last year, but eventually called the engagement off are said to have hit a 'rough patch' in recent months.
Things got a lot worse when Max was snapped kissing a blonde last week, although his publicist claimed the woman was just a fan.
But today a representative for the 25-year-old actress confirmed that Michelle and Max are no more. Although she didn't confirm when the couple split it is being reported that Michelle dumped the singer two weeks ago.
'I can confirm that the relationship has recently ended,' her spokesperson said.
Max and Michelle began dating in late 2010 before the singer proposed on her birthday in June 2011.
But Max has spent most of this year in America following his band's huge success stateside, while Michelle has been tied to Manchester playing feisty Tina McIntyre.
Despite the pair constantly looking loved up, they called off their engagement in April but insisted they were 'still together.'

It doesn't come as a shock though. The couple haven't been seen together in weeks, with sexy soapstar Michelle attending most events by herself, including a personal appearance at new Dublin nightclub Rouge.
