The I-Phone 4 is definitely the new 'it' phone of the moment. Compared to the original i-phone, this model has been deemed more powerful and alot easier to use.
There are many new features to the Iphone.
1. Face-Time (Video Calling)
- Users can now video call across the world with just a touch of the screen.You can use iPhone 4 to iPhone 4 video calling over Wi-Fi.
- iPhone 4 has two built-in cameras, one on the front above the display and one on the back next to the LED flash. The front camera has been tuned for what apple call 'FaceTime' (video calling). It has just the right field of view and focal length to focus on your face at arm’s length. So it always presents you in the best possible light.
- You don't have to create an account or sign up to anything, so it's a really easy process.
2. Better Camera and Resolution
- The Camera on the new i-phone is now 5 Mega pixels, giving a much clearer image no matter what lighting. It's built in with a LED flash and the new double camera makes it easier to take self-portraits.
- By developing pixels a mere 78 micrometres wide, Apple engineers were able to pack four times the number of pixels into the same 3.5-inch (diagonal) screen found on earlier iPhone models. The resulting pixel density of iPhone 4 — 326 pixels per inch — makes text and graphics look smooth and continuous at any size.
- The iPhone 4 Retina display uses technology called IPS (in-plane switching) — the same technology used in the Apple LED Cinema Display and iPad — to achieve a wider viewing angle than on typical LCDs. Which means you can hold iPhone 4 almost any way you want and still get a brilliant picture.
3. Higher Durability
- Made from the same materials used in helicopters and high-speed trains, the Retina display glass is chemically strengthened to be harder, more scratch resistant and more durable than ever. The glass also features an oil-resistant coating that helps keep the screen clean.
- The phone is also more battery friendly. When you lift iPhone to your ear for a phone call, a proximity sensor immediately turns off the display to save power and prevent accidental dialling.
4. HD Video Recording And Editing
- Any video recorded on the new i-phone can now be edited and turned into a HD movie. Making it easy to make home movies on the go. By simply tapping the video a whole new menu will appear with major editing options.
- There's also a new app to go with this called 'i-movie'. Built just for iPhone 4, iMovie lets you combine and edit video clips, polish your films with dynamic themes and transitions, add music and photos, and share your finished films with the world.
