January Jones Says The Character Of Betty Draper Was Never Meant To Exist!

This is so crazy!

In her new interview with W magazine January Jones says that creator Matt Weiner never had the character of Betty Draper drawn up, and that he only created it for January after she auditioned.

The actress is flaunting her tight and toned body in the pages of W!  In the mag's interview January admits she actually auditioned for the part of Peggy first:

"There was no Betty in the pilot when I auditioned…I read for Peggy two times—it was between me and Elizabeth Moss who eventually got the part. At the end of the scene, there was a casual mention that Don was married. Matt went home that night and wrote two scenes that featured Betty. I auditioned a couple of days later, and he made me a verbal promise that the character would grow. I took the part on faith.”

How crazy is that? Betty is one of my favourite characters in the series, and getting a sense of Don's home life is what made his character even better also.

The star also talks about her upcoming role in X-Men: First Class,saying that she can't wait to do promotional work of the Comic-Con:

“That’s perfect! Comic-Con is mostly male, and I don’t really have that audience. And, I’m really like a guy in a lot of ways.”

January Jones Says 'Mad Men' Doesn't Pay That Well!

Uh oh, I think she's going to regret saying this!

January Jones, who plays Betty Draper on the hit show 'Mad Men' has said that she doesn't get paid that much and either do the other cast members! The show has been under large constraints this year, as producers weren't sure if the show would get the green light again. January said in an interview that the show doesn't pay that well:

"Financially, we don’t get paid very much on the show and that’s well-documented. On the other hand, when you do television you have a steady paycheck each week, so that’s nice."

Well documented? I've never heard those rumours before. I wonder is she just getting paid less and the rest are doing quite well? Although I absolutely love the show (my favourite in fact) I can't help but think January isn't the best actress. After seeing her in Liam Neelson's flick Unknown I got the impression that she can't really diversify her characters.

January Jones Goes Naked For New X-Men Movie!

As you can see from this Golden Globes outfit January Jones is not afraid to flaunt her flesh, and now it seems we'll be seeing a hell of a lot more of her!

The actress best known for her role as Betty Draper in the hit TV series Mad Men has shot onto the big screen, starring in the new Liam Neilson flick Unkown and starring in the upcoming X-Men prequel. When asked about her character in X-Men, January admitted she will be naked quite alot:

"I'm naked. [Laughs.] In the comics, the costume is pretty much just painted on and she has a pretty unrealistic body. So it was a challenge for me. I literally went from 'Mad Men,' packed the next day and flew to [the set in] London -- so there wasn't any time for me to do a lot of toning up or getting fit. I just had to wing it."

Funnily enough, like the Mad Men era, the action flick is also set in the 60's, which January admits was off-putting at first as she doesn't want to be type-cast but admitted that her character "is so different" from Betty Draper. Speaking of Betty, what's next for her on the show? Well January didn't really give away anything:

"Everybody assumes I'd like to see her happy, but it's not fun to play out. [Laughs.] I never really think about that and I never really try to guess -- because I'm always wrong. Matthew really has a genius eye for how each of these characters come together or are pulled apart. I just have a lot of fun reading the scripts when they come in. I don't try to guess or predict what's going to happen."

I'm sure she can't tell us even if she knew!

January Jones Say She's "Still Friends" With Her Ex

January Jones has claimed  that she's still friends with ex-boyfriend Jason Sudeikis.

The gorgeous Mad Men star split with Jason last month, and he has already been linked with Scarlett Johansson. But although he may have moved on super fast, January said they're still friends:

"We're fine. We're still friends... We still keep in touch… but it's been a long haul with schedules and all that stuff," she remarked."

Jason, who is a regular cast member on Saturday Night Live, apparently dumped the blonde with pals close to Jason saying that January was an "airhead" and that the reaspn for the split was that he "only dates smart women" (serioulsy harsh). The star has also been linked to Jennifer Aniston in the past.

I love January, definitely don't think she's an airhead!

Scarlett Johansson Dating Jason Sudeikis?

New Couple Alert?

It seems like Scarlett Johansson is moving on very fast!

According to reports the actress, who split with hubby Ryan Reynolds just before christmas, was spotted with Saturday Night Live star Jason Sudeikis!

Apparently the pair met up with another couple and had a double date at a classy pub in Santa Monica. Onlookers say the pair looked very flirty:

"It definitely looked like a double date! Scarlett and Jason were flirting and making lots of eye contact. He reached across the table twice to grab her hand."

But as usual a rep came back to comment on the 'date' straight away. Scarlett's rep said the pair are just good friends:

"After hosting Saturday Night Live three times, they've all become friends."
