Lauren Conrad Says She's Earned Her Success

"I've worked hard for my success"

The Hills starlet Lauren Conrad has said that all of her fame and fortune has been earned as she is a hard worker.

Since leaving her famed show, LC has written three books, designed fashion lines and is now embarking on a reality show. And in a recent edition of Teen Vogue Lauren admitted that although her fame allowed her to branch in to fashion, she still earned her place:
"I've sacrificed and worked very hard to get where I am now...whereas someone just getting out of fashion school may have to struggle for years to have the opportunity to start a clothing line, I've been working every single day since I was 17 toward this."

LC also claimed that others in the fashion industry don't take her seriously:
"I'm also faced with different challenges. I go into meetings, and people have this preconceived notion of me that I didn't work hard to get where I am."

But as well as being known for her fashion expertise everyone knows the real Lauren Conrad from TV, and LC is bursting back onto our screens with a new reality series which she was inspired by The September Issue and will be filmed like a documentary:

"The Hills was shot with three or four cameras; things like entrances and exits were re shot; and if there were sound issues, we were asked to repeat what we just said," she explained. "This show is going to have a smaller crew, and they'll just be following us around. It's going to have a rougher feel, but I think the end result is going to be more true."

I'm really excited for the new show, are you?
